I love making crowns and embellishing vintage hats! Especially at this time of year when all the seasonal glittery “stuff” I use, is on sale. Crown making is lots of fun, and truthfully…..what woman doesn’t need a crown (or two), or in my case, at least 30! I have so many I had to get inventive with displaying them in my studio, and on something that didn’t take up too much space. So in one corner, I have them displayed on a year-round lit up “crown tree”. It’s fun trying on crowns with girlfriends, or even wearing one around the house on a particularly bad hair day! Yes, sometimes a crown or fancy hat is just what a gal needs to perk up her day!
The other day, I felt like taking pictures of some crowns and organizing them in a photo file. (Ambitious!) Time consuming as well, as I confess, I know very little about my digital camera, other than to point, shoot and delete most of them! I took the photos in the photo booth that my hubby made, with a strange looking little mannequin head that I have, serving as the crown model. Here are some more pics…….
Okay, I may have either overwhelmed you or bored you with so many photos of crowns…..but….. some times I never know when to quit!! Just one more, and that’s it!
What I really hope is, that I have perhaps inspired you to gather up some glittery things and a handy glue gun, to make your own wild crowns. I would love to hear from you if you do!
